A
long time ago in a galaxy far, far
away...| I'm
a 5th generation Californian, and spent most of my childhood and
adolescent
years in the Bay Area, living in Gilroy (Yes, the "Garlic Capitol of
the
World.") I was very active in the Boy Scouts, eventually earning
the
rank of Eagle Scout. In high school, life revolved around
football and
track. Did some time at Gavilan Community
College in
Gilroy, working as a ski technician at a local sporting goods store to
pay for
gas to the slopes. Transferred to Humboldt State University in
Northern
California, majored in Forestry along with competing on the
logging sports
team. After graduation I was hired by a private timber company on
the North
Coast to do forest inventory. Shortly there after married my
college
sweetheart, we bought a house and adopted a cute little mutt from the
pound. Went back to school in the evenings to earn a Masters
Degree in
Natural Resources - Geographic Information Systems (Computer
mapping/spatial
database management). Accepted a position for another private
timber
company along the Mendocino Coast in Fort Bragg as the main map maker /
GIS analyst. Send me an email I would love to chat. shawn@jedimapper.com |
